A spring-steel ring with two metal eyelets, worn on the finger.
Two colors feed in parallel, each through its own eyelet, at even tension and without twisting round one another. This is the traditional tool for Norwegian and Fair Isle stranded work, and the reason those knitters can carry two yarns at speed.
