Prym Ergonomics Crochet Hook Set (7-12 mm)
The big-gauge half of the range: 7, 8, 9, 10 and 12 mm.
For chunky and super chunky yarn, bag yarn, t-shirt yarn and quick blankets.
Large hooks are where an ergonomic handle earns its keep, because thick yarn means bigger movements and more force through the wrist. A 12 mm hook in metal is a tiring thing to hold for an evening. These stay light.
For everyday DK and aran sizes, the 3.5 to 6 mm set is the companion.
