DMC Punch Needle Kit - Mindful Making (The Gentle Flowers)

A modern floral design in punch needle, and the biggest of DMC's beginner punch needle kits by some margin - 75 m of yarn, against 31 to 44 m in the meditation designs, so there is a good deal more colour and pile in this one.

Punch needle builds a dense, tactile, looped surface out of a single repeated movement: you push the tool through the cotton canvas from the back, it leaves a loop on the front, and you carry on. That is the whole technique, which is why DMC rate it Level 1 and why it suits anyone who has never tried it. The hoop holds the canvas taut while you work and then frames the finished piece.

Care: Hand wash carefully with a delicate soap, roll in a clean dry towel to squeeze out the water rather than wringing it, and air dry. If it needs pressing, lay it face down under a clean dry cloth and use a low iron without pressing down.
