Punch needle is one motion repeated. You push a hollow needle straight down through the fabric and lift it out. A loop stays behind. Enough loops, packed close, build a dense pile with the texture of a small rug.
The fabric arrives printed and ready to work. Tool and hoop are in the box, and the hoop frames the piece when you have finished.
One thing worth knowing before you start: keep the needle upright, and lift it clear between punches. Dragging it across the surface pulls out the loops you have just made.
