DMC Punch Needle Kit - Gift of Stitch (Line Art Portrait)

Not a hoop piece: this one is a cotton tote bag, and you punch the design straight onto the bag. The design is a stylised face in profile drawn with a single looping line, picked out with bright accent colours.

It uses the fine punch needle tool, which takes stranded cotton rather than chunky yarn, so the finished line is neat and drawn rather than thick and woolly. The technique itself is the same one repeated movement throughout - push the tool through from the back, it leaves a loop on the front, carry on.

It is built as a present. The kit comes with a ribbon and a stitchable gift tag, the box is made to be reused as the gift box, and you can either give the finished bag or give the kit itself.

Care: Wash at 40C and air dry. Do not bleach, do not tumble dry, iron on a low heat.
