DMC Punch Needle
The standard DMC punch needle: a size 10 with a wooden handle, and the tool the Mindful Making punch needle kits are built around. Size 10 takes most thick yarns - anything up to about 4 mm - so it suits chunky yarn like DMC Natura XL and Knitty 6, and it is the easier of the two tools to start on, because there is nothing to adjust.
The steel tip runs through the core of the handle, so the yarn feeds straight through the tool without snagging as you work.

Punch needle leaves loops on one side of the fabric and flat stitches on the other, so either face can be the front - or turn the work over partway and combine both textures.
For fine threads rather than chunky yarn, the adjustable fine punch needle is the one you want; we stock it alongside this.
Shipping fee is just KSh350 for deliveries within Nairobi and KSh700 for deliveries outside of Nairobi. You will receive your order within 4 business days.
We may ask you to top up on delivery fees if the location is remote.
