DMC's metallic embroidery thread, made as a single soft strand.
Most metallic threads are twisted from several fine plies that split, kink and fray at the eye of the needle. Diamant is one strand, so it runs through the fabric more smoothly and splits far less. Use it for highlights in cross stitch, outlines and small touches of sparkle rather than for filling large areas.
Work with a shorter length than usual, around 30 cm, and a needle with an eye large enough that the thread is not rubbed as it passes through.
