DMC Cross Stitch Kit - National Gallery (A Still Life of Flowers in a Wan-Li Vase)
DMC Cross Stitch Kit - National Gallery (A Still Life of Flowers in a Wan-Li Vase)
Ambrosius Bosschaert the Elder painted this vase of tulips, roses and a butterfly in 1609 and 1610, on copper so he could work finer detail. The flowers bloom in different seasons, so the arrangement never really existed. The painting hangs in the National Gallery, London.
DMC's kit, from their National Gallery range, is a large piece worked flower by flower, suited to an experienced stitcher.
