When Winter Wanes is one of the larger designs in DMC's British Museum range, in the same 36 × 26 cm format as the Great Wave and worked in a run of closely graded shades. It is not a first project, but the 14-count fabric is forgiving and the detail comes out clean. A good companion piece for anyone who has already stitched the Great Wave.
