Alize Puffy is a bit of magic in a ball. The yarn comes with the loops already built in — so you make a whole blanket, scarf or cardigan using nothing but your fingers. No needles, no hook, no experience.
It is one of the easiest ways to make something real on your very first try, which is why it is a favourite for baby blankets and gifts. As an official Alize stockist, here is how to get started.
How it works
Each pre-made loop is a stitch. You simply pull new loops through the loops of the previous row, by hand, all the way across. That is the whole technique. Once you have the rhythm, a baby blanket comes together in an afternoon.
Free guides to follow
A quick, honest note: Alize's own video tutorials are mostly in Turkish. The good news is that the technique is so visual you barely need words — and there are excellent English guides. These are our picks:
- A step-by-step English guide to finger-knitting a Puffy blanket.
- Learning to knit with Alize Puffy, plus free Puffy pattern ideas.
Tip: when browsing video tutorials, look for the ones that simply show the hands working — they are wordless, so the language does not matter at all.
What you need
Just Alize Puffy itself — a baby blanket takes roughly 4 to 5 balls depending on size. Browse our Alize range, and do pop in to feel it first: it is softer than it looks in photos.
